daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? When things go down in our lives that hurt it is wise to deal with them in a manner that edifys rather than breaks down. What good does it do to whine and complain? Oh I know initial reaction may be, "rats!" but making a quick conscience effort to look to the good that can come makes a whole lot more sense. Retribution is not for us to engage in. Sure it may feel like vindication at first but let me tell you, in short order you will feel bad about it, your conscience will bug you and not you have two things to feel bad about. Pray immediately for those who walk on you. That prayer may be, "whack him God!" but we know that is just anger so as quick as you can, bless them. Pray God blesses them. If God blesses them they might not repeat the offense and that blessing will come around to you. It may be in the form of peace. It may come in the form of a new friend. It may come around to seeing a new soul bound for heaven. Our outlook on those events needs to be wider than how it effects just us. Don't let fear of being hurt stop you from reaching out...even when you get slapped...

Jas 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

1Jn 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Heavenly Father,
Help us Lord to remember your love and your salvation. Help us see the heart of others beyond symptoms. Help us react kindly and grant us vision of what could result of our obedience to pray for our enemies. Touch us today in a way that changes our future outlook so we remember to pray without ceasing. We thank you and praise you Lord, in Jesus name, amen
