daily prayer

   Good morning! How are we faithing? So much on my mind and so much of it I can't do much about. I pray. I wait. I watch. To be honest I get unsettled when I can't do something about things. Men I suppose. We're suppose to fix stuff and when we can't we are unsettled. When I was young I fixed regardless and that is not always good. Now as an older man it doesn't get under my skin to not be able to fix something. Oh I still care and I want to fix it but years has taught that I may not be the one to fix and I may not be equipped so I pray and watch and learn. Can you imagine how the apostles felt? Can you imagine being tossed in jail for something you know as fact? Think about something that you witnessed, that you know what you saw and people come and tell you you are nuts. They even bust you in the chops screaming how big a liar you are. Cant fix that one. That has to come from someone above our pay grade. Imagine being killed for something you knew and still...still ask God to forgive them. Oh I'm sure the first blow ticked him off but he was quick to call on God, ask God not to hold it against them and then...and then he praised God while in pain. Look up Acts 7. Here's the end just to spark your curiosity;

Act 7:55-60
  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,  And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,  And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.  And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

I encourage you to seek Gods face in everything. Forgive quickly. The Word tells us we sin out of our own carnal desires so pay attention to what you say and do. Question motives. Question your own offense. We ought not be offended when others disagree or lash out at us. They struggle just like we do. If it's a bad scene, walk away and pray. Pray anyways but don't be afraid to put movement to your shoes.

Heavenly Father,
  Help us deal correctly when we feel unsettled. Help us see truth and the whys of that sensation. Lord, we do want to follow you and do what id right all the time but we get in the way. Forgive us and renew our thinking every day. We lift those we meet this week and ask for wisdom to stand or to walk. Make our minds sure of your grace and salvation. Let us see we don't have to fix everything or make all things go our way. We put on your armor Lord so we can face each day. In Jesus name, amen
