Good morning! How are we faithing? It's a dangerous thing to twist the Word of God. Some people seek out a church or sect that agrees with what they think so they can continue to live a particular way. The whole Robin Hood story for example. He still was stealing regardless of his intentions. Would I steal if my family was starving? Probably but that still doesn't make it right. To many times I hear people rationalize behavior, continue in that behavior and eventually they don't even realize they are sinning anymore. That is where the danger comes. If we were to compromise on one area, how long before we compromise it all? How long before our life doesn't even resemble our savior? Holiness is what we strive for. Not holier than thou but holier than we were yesterday. Holier than when we first came to Jesus.
Pro 14:14
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
2Ti 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Gal 6:7-8
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
