daily prayer

   Good morning! How are we faithing? When someone disagrees with you,  Is it okay to dismiss everything they say? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Yes when they deny the deity of Jesus and no if eating meat on Friday is a sin. We will differ from time to time on what I call filler items but the Gospel message must remain exact as the Word tells us. Different translations can cause misinformation if we are not careful. That is why I urge yo all to study and compare translations so as to not be led astray. Many a church has been split over things that are really important enough to split over and there are times when you or I leaving a church is necessary because of incorrect doctrine being taught but how would you know unless you study yourself? The falling away of even the elect talked about in Revelation could be from just this type of behavior. If you follow a preacher and don't double check, you are susceptible to falling for heresy. Not intentional but never the less losing ones soul to wrong side over doctrine that you can check for yourself is simply a shame. For example;

Mat 17:15  Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
Mat 17:16  And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
Mat 17:17  Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
Mat 17:18  And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Mat 17:19  Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
Mat 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Mat 17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

In the English Standard Version 17:21 is omitted... So why is it omitted? It changes what Jesus told the disciples. I don't know why it is omitted. I find this curious and in my mind comparison is the responsible way to study. All I am trying to get you to see is without study one can get an interpretation that could cause you to turn left when you should have turned right. Some translations are much easier to understand but as you grow in the Lord be sure to double check your favorite translation. This is not to cast any doubt on the Gospel message but to help train you as a follower so you don't fall away over doctrine.

Heavenly Father,
open our eyes to truth. Open our minds to YOUR truth and understanding. Help us understand your principles and increase our faith so we are never misled but become wiser. Lord , let your people live peaceful and wise. Humble us when we find error in our thinking, in Jesus name, amen
