daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Computer woes, fixed. Open door to let in cool fall air also 7000 flies, check. Irritants. We all have them. The guy who never uses his blinker. The gal in line at wall-mart that can't figure out how to write a check. Flies. Those stinking flies. I just love the weather we have had this past 3 days and I noticed my mood was higher than normal. I am usually an upbeat guy but this made me take notice. Is it ok to let this weather affect my mood? Can I do anything about it one way or another? How about you? What brings you up or down? Are you even aware of it? It is important that we, at a minimum, stay aware and check ourselves. We will be moved due to different things in our life. For instance, sun coming up, the smell of coffee and bacon, the birds singing, what a nice start to a summer day. How about a favorite song waking you up? But what happens if you are awaken to the cat yakking on the bed, it's raining and foggy, the car wont start, then what do you do? Do these things make your whole day become junk? I think it is prudent to begin every day with prayer. I think it would serve us to recognize when outside junk brings us down to the point we are simply horrible to be around. Fake upbeat you say? Not at all but remembering past victories, remembering all God has done for us on bad days as well as good days can turn bad days good and good days better. Don't believe me? Start praising God on those yukky days. Just do it and watch what happens. This is just some sage advice from the old fat guy...

Psa 56:4
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

Psa 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psa 98:4
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

remember our leaders even if we don't like them...remember our troops and emergency workers...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all your mercies. Thank you for your love. Thank you for all things. Guide us and remind us of your grace. Lead us and in your name we rebuke the enemy and his minion from our lives. We only ask for wisdom to be better servants of yours. In Jesus name we pray, amen
