daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Some are happy and some dismayed at last nights election results but I have to admit I'm glad the mud slinging is over for a little while. I do not know nor does anyone else what these results will mean down the road but for now I am happy we still have a land where the constitutional rights are still present and the peoples voice has spoken. I can't imagine how it is in countries that the people are not allowed to speak or are punished if they do. You know, I don't agree with many things our republic does but it still is better than the one that killed Jesus. The roman government was firm to say the least and sadistic to say the most. As long as Jesus didn't upset the status quo, all was good. As soon as he pointed fingers, he was done for. Oh he was right every time and he even pointed out the sin while loving the sinner and showed them a road to redemption, they still killed him. Jesus preached peace, servitude, compassion, non selfish ideals, wisdom for the ages and called out those who were evil in their motivation, and they still killed him. He loved as no man ever had before, talked to the dregs of society, healed the sick no matter the demographics and they still hung him on a cross. He gave his life for mine, yours too. So as I listen to the whining and complaining, I expect, I will remember that my savior still reigns and like the Word tells us, all this is in God's hand and I am his servant therefore I will stand on what and who he is and come what may.

Rom 5:1-10
  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Heavenly Father,
  We lift our leaders to you. We pray they have your eyes  and your vision. We pray they live by your principles and govern accordingly. We pray they be safe and diligent not chasing their own gain. Lord we lift the babies and children to you. We ask for a hedge of protection around them. We pray your grace cover this nation. We bless your holy name. Forgive us our transgressions. In Jesus name, amen
