daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing this fine day? Why do we not turn to God? Why do we rely on ourselves? Why do we believe the talking heads on the television but dismiss what we hear in church? Oh you don't huh? What does your life show? You are disinterested in the pro life march but know all the ball game scores. You don't go to a town hall meeting on issues because you've had a rough day and yer tired. You move the curtain to see the neighbors fight and stay uninvolved because you don't want to be nosy but at the same time you are calling your friend about what you are watching. Wake up people! It's time we live what we say we believe! It's time we stop believing the worlds view over God's! How can a bonafied Christian follow things that are contrary to the Word? How can we sit in church, clap and sing praises to God and leave the building doing the opposite? The Word is full of these same actions by people in the past so we had better pay attention to what happened to those people because God is consistent and if we blunder like his people did in the past, we already know what will happen.

Isa 31:1
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

Jer 5:3-4
O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

Heavenly Father,
Forgive our impetuous actions. Teach us humbleness and open our eyes to our own arrogance. Help us to live according to your Word. Oh Lord let the people of this nation see your mighty hand at work and let our leaders see the folly of their ways. Let us come back to serving you in all we do. We praise you Lord and ask for your peoples eyes to open to what lies ahead. In Jesus name we pray, amen
