daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? With what we were talking about last week I think we need to expound a bit. Here lies the problem in the prosperity doctrine of some. First a few questions; are riches bad? Not necessarily. Greed is bad. Trust in riches is bad. Getting comfortable and not relying on God is bad. Should everything be comfy cozy? Get real. Jesus even told us we would face things in this life. It's a lie of the enemy that we deserve the best all the time and if we don't have it we must've done something. It's a ploy of the enemy to push discontentment. It's not even sound thinking to think we ought to be living care free and event free. We are not in heaven. We live in a sinful world thus sinful things go down. Some things are because of our decisions and some from others. Cause and effect man. If you caused it, repent and seek God's wisdom. If you didn't cause it, seek God's wisdom on how to handle it so essentially, seek God's wisdom in all things. The prosperity doctrine appeals to us and our wants. They say the right words and use appealing euphemisms that sound good but are not biblical unless context doesn't matter to you. All I'm telling you is be careful. Do you own research. If your only input is spoon fed by someone else, well, you're on your own and you may get coerced into something you never saw coming.

Joh 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Joh 15:18-21
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.  But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

2Ti 3:12-13
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that sustains us. Thank you for grace that keeps me. Thank you for wisdom from you. We ask a touch from you for those dealing with issues. Keep us alert of the enemies ploys and let us show compassion in all we do. In Jesus name, amen
