daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Yesterday we spoke of trials and the working of patience. We are urged in vs 5 to ask the Lord when we, how do I say, don't get why trials and temptations don't stop or perhaps even why they came at all. We should ask God for wisdom to see what we are to learn and where our growth and lessons take us. Asking for wisdom to decipher spiritual things as well as practical things is a way better thing to ask for than a winning lottery ticket. When we approach life and life lessons with an attitude that God holds all the answers, not wavering in that mindset, he will reveal truth. The section of James today has, I dunno, 1000 sermons in it but I'm urging you to read the verses, contemplate and pray for the wisdom contained for you. We all have issues we're dealing with and man, lets get that wisdom needed from the creator.           Look vs 6-8; wow man, pretty plain what it is saying and yet there is so much more to be gleaned. When scripture is revealed to us we should stand on it and not doubt. Question? Of course. I suggest you write down thoughts and revelations. Anyways, in vs 6 it says doubt which is used here as "wavering", "to withdraw or oppose" . Vs 7-8 to me are very poignant. Ask for wisdom expecting to receive it. Don't look left or right, expect revelation in due time because God said he will give liberally and that "we have not because we ask not". Go forward today with the assurance that you have wisdom from the master.

Jas 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.
Jas 1:6  But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
Jas 1:7  For do not let that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord;
Jas 1:8  he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways.

Heavenly Father,
   Thank you the truth your Word shows. Like Solomon we ask for wisdom to see truth in all we see and do. Help us to be trustful of your wisdom even if it seems to contradict what is happening. Help us stand firm on your Word and help us act holy with compassion and steadfastness. Lord we humbly serve you and seek your face all the time. Lord, intervene on our behalf when the enemy attacks. We love and adore you, in Jesus name, amen
