Good morning! How are we faithing today? Today's verses could be preached on for years because of the implications presented. We are to cast off things like dirty talk, depravity, pride and be ambassadors of Jesus being in the Word so we transform from lost to saved people. If we believe the Word is from God we must do as we believe and not just listen without applying it to our lives. Oh some things are not easy but life isn't about easy or hard but being about our Heavenly Fathers bidding he has for us. Recognizing in that mirror every morning that we are wonderfully made and have been adopted into the family God and are indeed in need of Jesus it becomes hard to do the things mentioned in verse 21. You know, none of us are perfect and in that morning mirror when we prep for the day, look at yourself, giggle if you must, and thank God he loves you. Smile and thank him for calling you to such a salvation that has promises of yes and amen.....
Jas 1:21 Wherefore, casting away all uncleanness and abundance of naughtiness, with meekness receive the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jas 1:23 For if a man be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he shall be compared to a man beholding his own countenance in a glass.
Jas 1:24 For he beheld himself and went his way and presently forgot what manner of man he was.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for your Word that guides us and doesn't condemn us. We lift your name high and ask for wisdom to face the day as your child. Bless the kids in school. In Jesus name, amen
