Good morning! How are we faithing? We are not promised a rose garden in this life. We are told we will have trouble but are also told we have respite in our savior. We have free will, intellect, emotions and the Word of God to go by. Where we get in trouble is the order of those things. Emotional responses can get us in hot water. Our own free will does too when we give into lusts for things. Intellect can run us in circles if we don't ground ourselves in the Word. The world system has many flaws when based on wants for our own desires. I'm not telling you anything any thinking human can see but when we focus not on God we succumb to the worldly system.
Psa 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Here it is, when we hold up anything we think or do to the law of God we can make choices base on truth rather than folly. The law doesn't save us, only Jesus does, but the law is a perfect guide to life on this orb.
Rom 7:22-25 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word that guides us. Help us act and see everything through your Word and not cause any sin to permeate us. Lord, forgive us when we fail and keep us in your strength to fight the enemy of our souls. Open our eyes to your ways. Help us see needs and meet them where we are able. In Jesus name, amen
